Hello my name is:

Sunflower Soul

I am sponsored by City of Scottsdale.

My artist is Tiesha Harrison.

I am here to support The Rotary Club of Scottsdale.

And I have a story for you.......

BID ON ME!

Welcome to Sunflower Soul!

All artists know that light is a very important element in composing and bringing to life a piece of art. That certainly is the case with our wonderful artist Tiesha Harrison, and her horse Sunflower Soul. In her case she not only used light and color to showcase the beauty of her horse, but the horse itself has been tasked with bringing that light outward to shine on everyone who sees him.

She describes herself as an intuitive artist who loves to bring together symbols and colors that are deeply meaningful.  She should know because all the colors and symbols on Sunflower Soul have served her as well. You see Tiesha’s sister was killed in a domestic violence incident recently which has affected her greatly. Bringing Sunflower Soul to life has helped her through the grieving process.

Tiesha was born and raised in west Phoenix. Growing up she did not always have a lot of opportunity, so she relied on grit and determination to get her education and hone her life skills. She has dedicated her life to using those skills to fight domestic violence, ease the suffering of mental illness and help kids get a good start in life.  Tiesha has always had a great eye for designing and packaging ideas and products. But it wasn’t until three years ago that she actually took up art as a way to express herself. She has been expressing herself with art ever since.

She is thrilled that the City of Scottsdale has sponsored Sunflower Soul because she knows that her horse can pay back the city by helping the community to come together and bring people joy. She chose the name Sunflower Soul because Sunflowers are synonymous with the Sun and light and a fresh beginning. Soul symbolically refers to this magnificent rearing horse’s desire to bring about positive changes within us, and the power to see it done.

By bidding on this amazing work of art, you can help to share Sunflower Souls radiance to others. Sunflower Soul is caught rearing up and showing his power. Tiesha tapped into that power to encourage people to explore their inner being, and find their true authentic self. That sentiment is important for all of us to share.

I am here to support:

SCOTTDALE ARABIAN HORSE SHOW 2-FOR-1 PASS

Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show - February 16-26, 2023

The Scottdale Arabian Horse Show is a world-class horse show showcasing over 2,000 horses from around the world while providing entertainment for the whole family.

Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show History

Since 1955 the Annual Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show has set the pace in the Arabian horse world. The first show was held at the grounds of the Arizona Biltmore Hotel which was a beautiful setting for a horse show. The Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show was a first class show from the very first day.

After the show's beginnings at the Arizona Biltmore, Ann McCormick bought 150 acres in Scottsdale and made it into the horse facility known as Paradise Park which served the needs of the show for many years.

Since that time, the show has been held at WestWorld in Scottsdale. It has grown from 50 horses to nearly 2400 horses bringing top owners, trainers and breeders from around the world competing for a chance at winning. A win at Scottsdale can mean big money in the breeding barns.

The 2023 Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show is proud to benefit these worthwhile charities: Arabian Horsemen's Distress Fund, Arabian Horse Promotional Fund, Friends of Vail Foundation, Healing Hearts Animal Rescue and Refuge, Hoofbeatz USA, Horses Help, March of Dimes, JDRF, Scottsdale Community College, Stallion Stampede, and Youth For Troops.
